Student support and wellbeing

ÎçÒ¹»ÆƬµ¼º½ is committed to creating a vibrant, safe, and respectful campus for all our students. We are taking forward several initiatives to challenge inequity and our campus operates a zero-tolerance policy on discriminatory behaviour of any kind.

Community Wardens

Our team of wardens offers support for students living off campus. They offer a full pastoral service to any student in Loughborough who may be facing difficulty within the local community.

LGBTQ+ Support

Our campus operates a strict zero-tolerance policy on anti-LGBT+ behaviour. Across the university and student’s union, there are a variety of ways to access support for students who identify as LGBT+ or are questioning their gender identity or sexuality.

Trans and Non-Binary Support

Our campus aims to ensure that all transgender and non-binary students feel supported during their time at the university. This service can provide additional 1-on-1 support and guidance for those who need it.

Support for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Students

There are several support avenues for black, Asian, and minority ethnic students. This includes wellbeing support, dedicated career support, and advice regarding finance, housing, visas, and immigration.

Student Advice and Support Service

This service provides free, confidential, and impartial advice on matters related to your time at university, including financing, housing, and international student support.

Mental Wellbeing Team

The university’s Mental Wellbeing Team is here to support students with any concerns they have about their mental health, wellbeing, and barriers to education.

Disability Support Team

The Disability Support Team is here to support students with disabilities. The emphasis is placed on working with the student to develop practical support and create strategies to enable them to deal with the obstacles they may encounter during their studies.

Student Misconduct

Security investigates any allegations of student misconduct. This would be any disciplinary action that is being taken against a student for an offence.
